- Ch 38Without help the ark's voyage back to the Solar System takes thirty-five years; Earth ships helping it decelerate could cut this to ten to twenty years.
- Ch 38Its course will be sent to Earth by neutrino transmission only after the ark has been underway for some time, so Trisolaris cannot locate Blue Space and Gravity.
